KENT VALENTINE

Kent Valentine is a critically acclaimed, Australian, stand-up comedian. Prior to moving to England Kent toured NSW as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.

"Valentine is equal parts prepossessing, cavalier, clever and hilarious enough to make it both sincere and original." - Jo Higgins, State of the Arts

With an infectious mix of irreverence and enthusiastic optimism, Kent Valentine is one of the most dynamic comedians on the Australian comedy landscape.

His three solo shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (A Fistful of Rainbows, What Would Batman Do? & Be My [Kent] Valentine) have all received with critcal acclaim, and his 2006 Adelaide Fringe show with fellow comedian Sam Bowring picked up a nomination for "Best Emerging Comedy".

This year Kent has been the MC for both the Festival Club at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Roadshow which travels around Australia after the festival.

In 2005, Kent was one of 4 Australian comics selected to perform in The Comedy Zone, a festival show run by the Melbourne Comedy Festival that showcases Australia's best new talent.

While they were on air, Kent had a regular guest spot on the Triple J radio breakfast show with Adam Spencer and Wil Anderson.

Kent also ran A Mic in Hand at the Friend in Hand, Sydney's favourite open mic comedy venue with Sam Bowring from 2003 until June 2007.

Kent can be seen regularly performing around the country as a feature, support and MC.

"Kent Valentine is a hugely endearing presence, a natural raconteur..." - - Chortle

"Kent Valentine is a comedy locomotive with a captivating storytelling style mixed with brutally hilarious honesty." - Triple M

"rapid-fire, quick-witted... an undeniably funny hour ****" - The Adelaide Advertiser

SAMI AND TILLY

Sami and Tilly are the UK's freshest comedy musical duo. They may look young and sweet, but their songs strike home with a razor-wire lash - yeah, so watch out McFly! From skillful parody to original songs packed with a bagful of wit, this pair will have you in stitches.

Semi-Finalists - Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2009

Semi-finalists - English Comedian of the Year 2010

"Musical and funny, what more could anyone want? In a league of their own - I love them!" - Harriet Dyer, High Def Comedy

with support from:

Taylor Glenn

Taylor Glenn is an American comedienne/compere, writer and actress based in Cardiff, UK.

Having trained in and regularly performed improv and sketch comedy at Gotham City Improv in New York City, Taylor now performs stand up comedy and comperes throughout the UK, as well as writing for radio and the stage. In addition, Taylor heads up the Cardiff-based sketch comedy group Token Yank (www.tokenyank.co.uk) and has performed regularly with Slow Genius Improv Comedy (www.slowgenius.co.uk), both of which made their successful Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2009.

She recently qualified for the semi-finals of the WUSA stand up award for the Cardiff Comedy Festival in 2010, as well as making the quarter-finals of the Laughing Horse New Act competition in London. She has written for BBC Radio Wales' What's the Story as well as appearing as a guest panellist on the show. Her work has been shortlisted for BBC Radio 4's Recorded for Training Purposes and she recently shot a documentary pilot for Faction Films, which she has written and presented.

Taylor has quickly established herself as a sought-after compere and stand up performer on the UK circuit, and has a proven track record of tackling a variety of settings. From the rowdiest of comedy clubs, to a black tie business charity ball, to private parties, she is able to "hold a crowd with ease" and her signature "self-deprecating humour. . .that the audience laps up." - Buzz Magazine

MC - Phil McCullough

Ex-postie Phil McCullough left the red rubber bands behind for a life of comedy and acting - only to become the face of Fedex on one of his first assignments!

However, there is no irony to the fact that he won the West Midlands Comedy Forum Newcomer of the Year 2009 by a landslide, and since then has been regularly compering gigs for Hilarious in the Midlands, as well as doing stand-up all over the UK and making occasional appearances on the BRMB breakfast show.
